Angles and filling styling - basics in the work of an eyelash stylist
Creating the perfect eyelash styling that satisfies clients is quite a challenge. Often, even experienced stylists find it difficult to follow the right rules in maintaining precision during styling. The basics and, at the same time, the most problematic issues are the corners of the eyes and knowledge of the methods of filling in the styling. Want to learn how to work the corners correctly? Go through our article and you will also learn the typical methods of filling in the styling.
Eyelash styling vs. corners - when to start gluing them?
Clients' eyes are always prone to irritation when gluing false eyelashes. This is quite a problem, especially if your client has highly sensitive eyes, which turn red and start tearing after just a few moments.
When irritation occurs, it is the corners that are affected by moisture in the first place. For this reason, this is where you should start gluing your eyelashes. Otherwise, there will be too much moisture in the eye area, and this will result in a styling effect that is not permanent and satisfactory, and the corners will fall out first.
So how to start styling and gluing false eyelashes? Simply put - start from the corners of the eye. At the beginning of the work, these areas are still dry, so tightening new tufts will not be a problem.
Remember, however, that the outer and inner corners are places where there are very delicate lashes. However, if there are so-called baby hairs there, you should not glue false lashes on them. This can lead to a stylistic error and damage to the delicate hairs, in addition, artificial eyelashes will not hold on such thin hairs and will fall downwards. Therefore, it is better to avoid the so-called baby hair.
How to glue the corners of the eye? Eyelash styling in practice
The procedure for gluing the corners is not complicated, but it requires hours of practice. Only when you begin to correctly operate the tweezers and learn how to glue the tufts, you will be able to perform proper styling. Always start from the outer corner of the eye and finish on the outer zone of the opposite eye - this is known as the "four method". This is a guarantee of permanent sticking of false eyelashes.
Why is it crucial to start eyelash styling this way? Well, the corners of the eye are the most frequently groomed areas, which causes the hair to become somewhat weakened, and the artificial clumps may fall out excessively. If you start your styling by gluing the corners, you will be able to keep the glue and lash combination as long as possible.
Three ways to style the corners of the eye - how to do it?
Surely you already know that the corners are the most difficult area of the eye, which even experienced stylists have problems with. Fortunately, there are ways to make styling easier and make attaching false eyelashes much more permanent.
First, try a corner lift with bias tape. This is the easiest method, which allows you to comfortably continue the separation and reach the most hidden lashes. Another method is a lift with the help of the hands (known as an instant lift). The third method is the most difficult method, and therefore recommended only for professional stylists. It is a method of lifting from above, while the gluing of false eyelashes is done from below.

Here are some filling techniques that are recommended for both beginners and experienced stylists.
- Filling in the styling from the corners - here you will go from the outer corners to the inner corners and close the styling like a book. You can use double separation here, which will speed up your work considerably.
- Chaotic gluing - despite the name, the styling is always carefully planned. This means that after gluing one lash, you do an identical styling on the other eye, like a mirror image. The key here is symmetry so that the effect is satisfactory.
- The3 by 3 technique - is a method still known as one of the first methods of filling in eyelash styling. It involves alternate gluing, i.e. gluing the outer, middle and inner lash, and then transferring the styling to the other eye. Unfortunately, this method is not useful for optimizing working time.
Do you want to perform perfect false eyelash applications and please all your clients? So use the above tips and choose one of the recommended methods for filling in the styling. Remember that practice makes perfect, so after choosing one method of filling in the styling and gluing the corners, you just have to practice. Only in this way will you begin to make masterful styles for your clients.
